Distance
16.9km, Mainly off-road, Hard route
What to see
An 11-mile peninsula joins Cape Kefali to the mainland. An amazing route through ancient olive groves, arbutus trees and myrtle will offer you magnificent views of the sea and the wonderful scattered islands. Before reaching the southern part of the peninsula you will be surprised by the archaeological findings. Recent archaeological excavations uncovered a Mycenaean looted tomb which is part of a wider organized Mycenaean settlement that includes a town, a citadel and a cemetery. (This route is only recommended for advanced cyclists).
